Thank you for reading this letter.
This is my 3rd year shaving in Hair For Hope to support Children’s Cancer Foundation movement.
Every month, my partner and I will volunteer at CCF twice to provide massage service to the parents.
They are the stressful people that worry about their child condition as well as financial burden.
No matter what situation, they just have to keep themselves strong (physically and mentally) to take care of the children.
To quote one parent,
“While most parent outside talk about their children studies and what tuition to take. We here in the hospital, worry & talk about what medicine or what procedures our children going have next. We just gotta get used to it“, Esther, 2011.
Both Li Huan and I are honor and humble to learn from the parent experiences and appreciate life and what we have around us.
I like to show you one painting I captured at the corridor of the CCF a few months ago.
It is painted by a 17 years old girl who went through transplant and chemo.
Her eye-sight is partially affected by the treatment.
Instead of self-pity, she chose to draw this picture to encourage other patients to be strong.
Isn’t she a BRAVE and COURAGEOUS soul?
What I see from the picture is a young innocent soul who want to survive and experience life.
Every time I see this picture, it reminds me to be strong to face whatever challenges I have.
May you be inspired by the drawing too. 🙂
However, not every patients can be strong as her.
By shaving our head, it is a symbolic way to show children with cancer and their families that they are not alone in the fight against cancer. We also want to show the children with cancer that it is OK to be bald.
If you resonate with what I felt about supporting the children and the parents, would you like to help me raising fund for the Children’s Cancer Foundation?
My target this year is to raise $2000 for the children.
Whatever amount donated is very much appreciated.
You can go to the link below to donate by credit card or internet bank transfer.
I shall be shaving on 29 Jul 2012, 12PM. I will keep you posted of my “new image”
I thank you for your kind heart. 🙂
Thanks again for reading this letter.
Wishing you and family good health. 🙂

Peng Tatt waiting for his turn to lose his hair
Everybody will go through this –
losing one chunk of hair in one stroke of hair stylist
“Cool” hair style for a “cool” reason.
